Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create an account: username, email, hashed password, and account creation timestamp. When you connect: IP address (for fraud detection and ban enforcement), client version, and approximate region. When you purchase: invoice ID and a non-card transaction reference from our payment provider — we never see or store card numbers.

What we don't collect

We do not collect real names, phone numbers, billing addresses, social-media accounts, or device fingerprints beyond what's needed for cheat detection. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.

How we use it

To run accounts, deliver purchases, prevent abuse, enforce bans, send transactional emails (verification, password reset, purchase confirmations), and improve the game based on aggregated, anonymised stats.

Cookies

This website uses a session cookie to keep you logged in and remember your preferred settings. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare for DNS and SSL, which sets a security cookie.

Third-party services

Payments via Stripe / PayPal / Coinbase Commerce. Email delivery via a transactional provider (e.g. Postmark or SendGrid). Discord linking via Discord OAuth. Each of those vendors has its own privacy policy you should review.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of errors, or deletion of your account at any time. Submit a request via Support. Account deletion permanently removes your in-game character, progress, and personal info within 30 days.

Data retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. After deletion, personal data is purged within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised game-economy data may be retained indefinitely for balance research.

Children

Juniper is not intended for users under 13. If we learn we have personal data from a child under 13, we delete it.

Security

Passwords are stored using salted bcrypt. Sessions use signed tokens. Server traffic uses TLS. We disclose breaches affecting personal data within 72 hours of discovery, per applicable law.
